Clan-ranked servers will be the new home for Empire Clash's competitive scene, where clans and their experienced players can compete against one another in a more equal setting without intervening against newer and/or non-clan players. Being centric towards clans, only players who are apart of a clan can join these servers. This feature was announced at 6:45 PM CT on February 4th, 2024, as part of a proposal after a series of clan-related dramas in the Empire Clash community that began in late-January.
One of the key goals for clan-ranked servers is to give clan players a more competitive experience in Empire Clash. This makes it fair for non-clan players who, prior to the update, have often been put at odds against the more experienced clan players due to their higher skill level. With the game being split into clan-ranked and normal servers, non-clan players will have an easier time having fun in Empire Clash and for newer players to understand the game better without being intervened by clans.
Gameplay-wise, winning awards for clans are increased. Players on the winning team will earn 2x XP, crowns and coins upon victory compared to normal servers. At this time, the exact multiplier is not finalized. Nevertheless, this condition is only enabled on servers with 50+ players to prevent grinding.
Players can register and join clans in-game. They can only join one clan and will have to leave that clan to join another. Each registered clan will have a unique tag attached to their username in clan-ranked servers. It is considered for registered clans to have a member limit but that's to be determined.
