Dear colleagues,
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech is seeking to fill a tenure-track position in Geotechnical Engineering, with a specific research focus on geotechnical aspects of coastal engineering with possible focus areas on coastal resilience, soil erosion, and port engineering. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to develop funding in renewable energy, offshore data analytics, natural hazards, earth observation, or climate-driven coastal change and adaptation. The position is open at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We have a very dynamic geotechnical program that has enjoyed continuous strong support from the Department and College, and we are excited about this opportunity to add a new member to our program. The position announcement is attached to this email. Please forward this announcement to your Ph.D. students and other qualified candidates. Any questions can be directed to Prof. Adrian Rodriguez-Marek (adri...@vt.edu).
Best regards,
Adrian
