My samsung members account says i have 19 days to register my S23 Ultra for samsungcare+, but i am not able to register for it. I get a message, "IMEI number is invalid. Please try again." Can you please reslove this matter for me as i bought this expensive phone because it came with free samsungcare+.

Thank you for your guidance. I had to call samsung customer care center twice, requesting them for needful help. Took them 1 week, but today they called me to confirm that samsungcare+ has been activated on my S23 Ultra. For which i also received email confirmation.

I purchased a samsung s22 ultra from a local shop in Singapore with shop bill dtd 27 Nov 2022. I am trying to buy samsung care+ online but there is an error and on checking with samsung support on chat, they mentioned that phones purchased from non-authorized centres are not allowed to buy samsung care+. I am not sure if this information is accurate. Does samsung know the date the phone is activated? The phone was sealed packed when I purchased it. if yes, what is their reason for not allowing purchase of samsung care+? if samsung care+ is not possible then I will buy coverage from third-party insurance providers. Does it make sense to buy MA externally in the first year of purchase of the phone? It will cost $120 a year.

Hi @JP19, I checked with Samsung Support on chat. They are saying that since the phone is purchased from third-party vendor, it is not eligible for samsung care plus. Do you know any other team in samsung that I must write to?

Does anyone know if you can request a new colour for the phone when you make your swap? I distinctly remember seeing on their website when I signed up that you could swap your phone simply because you wanted a new colour but when I go into the Swap form I can't see that option.

As it turns out I put the swap through anyway. I've got a White phone with some screen damage and wanted to swap to a Bronze one but in the end I just put it through as is. The form told me they didn't have it in stock and would take up to 10 business days but 3 hours later I got an email saying my phone has been dispatched in Bronze.

I'm guessing they didn't have White so filled the order with a Bronze phone instead but I've read anecdotal evidence of people being able to choose or being contacted if their preferred colour wasn't available. Would appreciate some insight so I can be prepared for the 2nd swap which I will do a few weeks before the 2 years are up!

My original is bronze and was told during the swap process that a replacement was available...
I didn't see any colour choice selection during this process..
I was informed at the end that I should receive it wednesday...

From what I can tell you used to be able to request a specific colour but it seems that now you can't. So when I do this again right before my subsciption ends I guess it will be a crapshoot between White, Black and Bronze.

I did attach a copy of the phone receipt and the samsung care plus receipt when filling out the swap form because it didn't seem clear which proof of purchase they wanted...
maybe the form only allows for one attachment...

went in and did that but only option that worked was to continue current request...
Did that and it brought up my claim number, so just continued and it went through. didn't ask me for any receipts this time...

Wondering what people's experience is like with Samsung Care+, seems like the reality is not quite how it was sold to me when I purchased it with my Note 20 Ultra last year. I was told when buying that you could choose your colours and use it to swap around colours if I wanted to change to white or bronze.

I am going to sell my Note20 Ultra because the battery life is appalling (unuseable in my opinion), and I am going to swap it so I am selling one in perfect condition. I have tried to submit it and Samsung are now telling me there is no stock due to global shortages and I should pay the swap fee and they will process when available, but they are unable to suggest when that will be.

This is not at all what they are promoting on their website which is "If you lodge your swap request before 3pm on a business day, a replacement device will be dispatched to you on the same business day."

Waiting for Samsung to get back to me on what the situation is with the Note20 Ultra. They said 10 business days last week, and but now haven't sent it even though I processed the swap request on Monday.

I am currently dealing with care+ at the moment, I submitted a request on the 10th of September and yet to get anywhere in terms of knowing when a replacement device will be provided. It is absolutely not worth buying care+ because there is 0 care and in fact it is care minus and some.

I am not attached to a particular brand other than hating apple :) However my issue is with the misleading claim and subsequent no action on their part. It is such a bold claim for the same day dispatch but a month later there is no ETA.

Also, what have you been quoted as the fee for non-return? I know the swap fee for my Note 20 Ultra is $149, but wondering what the non-return fee is if I don't return my current phone. If you've done a swap of N20U or S20U/S21U, please let me know.

Took my phone to the beach on Saturday and sand scratched the absolute crap outta it so I put in a request with Care+ to swap it (S21 Ultra 5G 256GB black) and of course it says "out of stock". They've taken my $129 with no idea of when stock will become available. Bit ridiculous you pay for this supposed next day swap service and they never have any intention of actually ever being able to offer it. They can blame it on a global shortage all they want, but when there are stacks of retail units available to be sold there's simply no excuse.

Replacement device turned up today, status on the website hasn't even been updated so I had no idea it was coming. 3 and a bit business days isn't bad really. Definitely a refurbished device, looks like it has a new screen and housing and there is scratching on the bottom left front side of the bezel where it looks like they gouged it a bit getting a new screen on. No factory screen protector installed like they come with new but otherwise in overall better condition than my outgoing unit. Wouldn't use this service to expect a 100% top quality replacement like you get with an Apple refurbished unit, though.

Honestly I don't know if I can be stuffed. I've already installed a screen protector and transferring the data is a pain. No idea where I would even begin the complaints process, I messaged via the Asurion/Samsung Care+ website a couple days ago to ask how long it would be and never even heard back from them.

The challenge is it's hard to argue with them given it's advertised as "refurbished" even though we've come to expect more from that term as a result of other companies actually striving for higher standards here.

Per my OP, I purchased the Note 20 Ultra a few years ago with Samsung Care. I redeemed one of the swaps last year and had applied for the 2nd one about 4 weeks ago with no contact from Samsung since. Honestly I'd forgotten about it until this weekend and was going to try and get in touch this week however I got a call from Samsung today who basically said that they are completely out of the Note 20's and they would like to send me the Samsung 22 Ultra instead.

I waited around a month and a half or so for a Fold 2 Swap around the time of the Fold 3 Launch, never got an option of something else.... but I did get my swap fee back as an apology for the delay (and constant lies I got sent/told.....)

Does anyone know whether you can purchase Care+ in instalments (instead of paying the full subscription fee upfront)? I noticed you can if you purchase a phone+care together in the same transaction off Samsung's website, but the option isn't available when purchasing Care after the fact.

Can anyone confirm if Samsung Care+ is eligible 30 days from when you activated your phone? The calendar to choose dates is weird when choosing the purchase date. Phone bought on 10.2 and activated 22.3. Figured I'd get an answer here quicker than asking their chat haha

If you report an issue with the received device within 24hrs they will process a re-shipment. Agreed that the screen scratches weren't acceptable. Was surprised that the screen didn't have plastic on it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Samsung Care+ is not meant to be a free upgrade service, it is meant to be like for like. People have gotten lucky and been upgraded to an newer model, but that is the exception rather than the rule.

True , but they stuffed me around deluxe , I was on the phone to them for 5.5 hours one day and 3 hours the next , it was if my swap phone was coming out of the guys back pocket he tried every trick in the book to deny me a swap , it all started when I happily entered my details for a swap and their system had a "glitch" and wouldnt let me proceed , had their system worked I would have been done and dusted in 5 minutes instead took me over 3 days for them to acknowledge and approve a swap not to mention they stated they hadnt received my money even though I could and did show them proof on my online CC stmt account . They wanted me to pay again even though I could show them proof , even the managers wanted to me to pay again , it was truly unbeleivable , I felt the least they could do after causing me so much stress over 3 days was give me a small upgrade after all precedents had been set before
