RE: Some Weekend Dancing in Brooklyn

Classmates,

Real quick, the Vanderbilt Ave street festival, is today on Vanderbilt Ave off of Dean St in Brooklyn.  The dancing starts at 5pm.  In years past this event was tightly associated with the dance school Salsa-Salsa, located on 4^th Ave ( around the corner ).  They are doing this now in association with the city through the Open Streets Program.
 

Weather permitting, this free outdoor event often features a lot of local dancers coming through.  There is a short 'lesson' at the start of the event at 5 and the dancing usually continues until 8p or after. Eateries and refreshments abound in the area.
