RE : Two socials this Thursday evening in Manhattan

Hello Classmates,

Just a quick note to let you know that this Thursday, 8/15/24 there are two outdoor salsa socials that might be of interest, happening in Manhattan.

The previously noted Sunset Salsa event at Pier 76 ,behind Jacob Javits, goes on for at least 2 more weeks, from 6p-9p featuring a DJ and recorded music. 

In addition, on the same night, downtown a bit, on the High Line, you can dance to live music played by Los Hacheros, also from 6p-9p.  Enter the High Line at the 14^th St stairway and then walk uptown to the 15^th - 16^th St location for the social.

It is possible to attend both events, if you have the will and energy, as they are both on the west side of Manhattan, within about a mile of each other.

Don't forget, Carlos Konig's Central Park Bandshell Summer Social for August is next Saturday, August 24 from 5p-8p.

Kizomba enthusiasts will know that the Addicted to Kiz social is on Wednesdays at Stepping Out Studios, 617 W 46, 10036 from 7:30p-1a.
