The 2026 Small Business Anti-Displacement Network Summit on Preventing Climate Displacement is looking for panels or individual presentations about equitable climate resilience and recovery strategies that keep small businesses in place. The online summit will be held Nov. 12-13.

Co-hosted by the Gentrification & Urban Displacement Lab at the Boston University Initiative on Cities, the summit will examine how climate displacement is increasingly affecting vulnerable communities and small businesses, including how climate disasters, the long-term effects of climate change, and climate adaptation or mitigation strategies can kickstart or compound gentrification.

Many communities are investing in climate resilience and disaster planning, but the needs of small businesses are often peripheral to—or missing entirely—from these plans. How are you helping small businesses, particularly BIPOC- and immigrant-owned businesses, fight climate displacement? Submit a proposal by June 15.

Best,
Willow
