I'm imagining this email is mostly going to be read next week (I'm kinda enjoying the quiet digital office here on a pre-holiday Wednesday) but I wanted to share that the DC Trail Ranger positions with WABA are now open.
We're looking for an Operations Manager (Full-time, $54k – $60k annual salary with benefits) and 5 DC Trail Rangers (Full-time, $45,760 annual salary with benefits). I'm hoping to start interviewing after Dec 8th and the roles starting mid-January. Both jobs are linked
here. I'm trying to share as broadly as I can, but please do forward along to anyone you think might be great!
Big picture here: DC Trail Ranger program, funded by DDOT, is the field presence for DC doing outreach and maintenance on Marvin Gaye, Oxon Run, Anacostia River, Metropolitan Branch and soon to be more DC-gov owned paved trails. 2022 is seeing some really great and necessary trails funding increases, and DC Trail Ranger expansion is just one part. I'm excited for what year-round trails presence is going to mean for trail users, but I'm even more enthused because it is happening in tandem with more trails positions at DDOT, the trail counter project at NPS, and more.
Best,
Ursula
