Response Time

Yipit's API is great, but the one problem I'm having is with the long response times when there are a lot of deals in the response.  I want to get all of the deals for a division & then do some processing on them to decide which ones to display.  But I'm seeing almost a 30 second delay for large cities (smaller cities without many deals are fast).

I don't know what's happening during that time, but I'm wondering if this could be improved by storing responses for the most popular requests in the cache.  In my case I'm sending the division & want to get back all the deals for that division, which seems like it would be a common request.  I'm thinking there could be a file in the cache for each division that could be returned with little delay & it would also save you a lot of processing.  Then there could be a script that would run occasionally to update those files.
