Believe it or not, it’s expensive to buy a home in Boulder. The Boulder City Council was presented with recent data attesting to that during its Thursday meeting. It also raises questions about the effectiveness of the city’s cash-in-lieu option, which allows for developers to either build a certain amount of affordable housing units in a project or contribute money to the city’s affordable housing fund.
