When love is new and the world is out reaching for you... together and all that I feel is my love for Gaia, spirit of the Earth and my dear fellow humans!

Being an environmental filmmaker is not just about climbing glaciers, jumping in rivers, backpacking through exotic terrain and learning about technological innovation. It’s about strengthening communities, building bridges, and solving problems to protect and restore the earth.

But being an environmental filmmaker is also about raising funds, which can often be the most difficult part.

If you're participating in Giving Tuesday and believe stories hold unique power to create positive change, we hope you'll make a contribution to The Redford Center today to help us do more of this:

CHANGE THE ENVIRONMENTAL STORY — TO ONE OF HOPE.
The environment means different things to different people, but one thing we know for sure is people are hungry for hope and solutions.

MAKE FILMS THAT GALVANIZE ENVIRONMENTAL MOVEMENTS.
In addition to halting the construction of coal-fired power plants and restoring the Colorado River Delta, our newest film, Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution, is helping accelerate the transition to a low carbon future — and airing in 34 countries on HBO.

SUPPORT CREATORS WHO TELL STORIES THAT LEAD TO ACTION.
Reefs at Risk, a 2016 Redford Center Grants film, sparked a movement in Hawaii that helped pass a ban on sunscreens containing chemicals that harm coral reefs.

Thanks to your past generosity, our Redford Center Grants and Fiscal Sponsorship programs have been able to support the work of 35 diverse and remarkable storytellers this year. We have engaged over a dozen organizational-impact partners in our clean energy initiative and have modestly grown our San Francisco team. With your contribution today, we can do even more in 2019.

And if you're in San Francisco on December 6, 2018, join us for our Benefit Event, Stories That Move.

Stories That Move is a one-of-a-kind evening of film, music and fun that will take place at the newly restored August Hall featuring the presentation of the inaugural Robert Redford Award to Jaden Smith, and a concert with Happening composer Sean Hayes. Not only will you be supporting the game-changing work of The Redford Center, but you'll also enjoy great wines, amazing food, and opportunities to purchase experiences you won't find anywhere elseGet your tickets now!

Thank you, from all of us, for being part of the solution.
