Thanks Cui Xu for contacting the newspaper. Today Sujie and me spoke to the reporter on behalf of Wang's family. Please double check everything to make sure everything is correct and appopiate. I found some mistakes but my brain is not working very well now.

Hi, Dan:

Here is my a few concerns and I am not sure whether you could contact Lisa for this.

1) Totally it is well written except some typo or words. Lijian and Cui already did a great job on that.
2) I wonder whether my full name is needed there. If possible, I prefer just Qin or just Susie or even anonymous. I don't want my name there unless that is a must to prove the info is real.
3) I saw Lijian and Cui corrected for Yuying's name to Gao (just the family name). Just a reminder in case full name needed, it is wrong in the draft.

Thanks.
Best,
Susie

Yu ying told me that she prefer her name to be shown as Gao. Do you want your name to be shown as Susie or Qin?

BTW, The dad told me the hotel is extended for another week by the dept, do you have any idea about this? I need to confirm this with you since we already start arranging moving for tomorrow.

Hi, Dan:

Please just Qin if needed then or anonymous if possible would be better as I mentioned.

I am busy this morning and am just writing another email to you to tell you that yes, the department extend one week stay for the family at terrace inn. i think the family should take it and then move to the 2 bedroom apartment (it is really the cheapest one available and the most convenient). it is almost the end of feb then. unfortunately, i talked with the department secretary and she told me it should be hard to extend another time after this.

i am not sure whether moving next thursday morning are gonna be hard or not for the helpers (i think it should be fine, right?). if the family want, they could move to that apartment this sunday. however, that means they need to pay extra  $93*4 days for that. if the owner of the apartment feels it is ok for them to move in a little bit later, next thursday makes more sense.

please let me know what is the final decision. whatever, no moving tomorrow. would you help to notice those students who are willing to give a hand? Thank you!

Another thing, yestday Lisa asked me what project Yichao was working on. I am sorry that I could not provide very detailed info (only basic idea) on this since we are in totally different area even though we are in the same lab. Plus, he just came for around two months and I could not get idea what specific direction he is in.

I asked another student who worked closely with him. Here is something more detailed. Yichao was working on adsorption of pharmaceuticals on reverse osmosis membranes, among other things. however, i didn't see the description of his study area in the draft later. so it is your call to pass this info or not.

Hi Lisa,

How's it going?

I just scanned through Mercury News and couldn't find your article. Do you have any idea when will it be out?

Thank you very much for your help again!

Hi Dan,

Yes, since we held it yesterday (for today’s paper), it is now likely to be edited today for tomorrow’s paper, now that we have your OK!

Fingers crossed it will run tomorrow!

Hi Dan,

Me again - can you explain an application of "absorption of pharmaceuticals" - is it medical, i.e. absorption by the body of pharmaceuticals?  or...?

Let me know as soon as there is a last name to be used, so we can attribute the material accurately and publish the piece.

Thank you!
