Educational Materials for GNSS

Dear YGNSS group,

 

A few of you have asked me for educational material on GNSS and I have expressed this to people in the ICG Working Group C as a project. However, there were many questions raised, such as What types of materials are you looking for? How will they be used?

 

As basic as that sounds, the more specific you are able to give me examples and details, the more ICG can meet your needs. I am asking the team in general, how is the GNSS education in your country? How can it be improved? I have heard some areas only the wealthy schools have teaching materials. Should ICG prepare a syllabus and teaching curiculum course materials? Or is there something else you have in mind? This is your chance to directly have a say in how GNSS education is distributed and shared in your country!

By expanding the knowledge of where students can go learn more about GNSS, the more opportunities they will grow.

 

If you have questions or have proposals on how to expand GNSS education, please feel free to email me. I will be at the UN COPUOS meeting presenting on YGNSS 13 February, 2009. Then there will be ICG prep meetings on the 17th, where I can share your ideas.
