The purpose of pioneering the first space research group in any African university which happen to be in Nigeria was to encourage undergraduate students to take up interest in research in outer space affairs as a replacememnt for idleness in order to focus their (students) energy on something worthwhile and build their future in their undergraduate days.
I will likie to contribute in the following areas as related to Nigeria / Africa expecially in the areas of Niger Delta where kidnaping is rampant and how GNSS can be used to combat the menance:
1)How does GNSS contribute to the society? |
Fields of applications of GNSS |
|
2)Youth and GNSS |
How does GNSS contribute to youth? How do youth contribute to GNSS? |
|
3) GNSS and Future |
Evolution of GNSS application and how it will affect the future |
society.
When is the deadline for the submission.

| Hi, As a geography student with keen interest in Outerspace affairs, I think I should be able to define GNNS in an ordinary language. Please just give me up to next week Thursday to send all my contributions. I will start the complation by Monday. Thanks Paul |

Hi Stephanie Wan, |
Thanks for replying me on time. |
Is there a way we can get some space material and some models from NASA to public schools in Nigeria / Africa courtesy YGNSS? This materials will be forwarded to the department of Geography Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile - Ife. The department of Geography will now forward it to some designated schools. |

Ironically the agency whose primary function is to promote space in Nigeria are doing it to promote their selfish interest thereby hindering the free flow of information from the Nigeria public In Nigeria space is confined to the four wall of National Space Research And Development Agency and I dont believe it suppose to be so.So I am looking at public participation in promoting space and its usefulness in Nigeria / Africa. Having pioneered the first space club in Nigeria/ Africa, I have been priviledged to have been able to partner with some media organization in Nigeria. Can we use YGNSS to promote space among the Nigeria / African Youths? Since the time I came back from Japan (SGC/IAC in 2005) I have not been allowed to share my experiences because they believe space is an exclusive area that is not meant for general consumption. Again in Nigeria / Africa they dont believe students expecially undergraduates know anything about space and most of what I saw in Japan nobody had ever embarked on such a thing here in Africa and that is why I am eagerly willing to participate in order to share one of those things I learnt in Japan. |
