Seriously Facebook has made this blog redundant, even archaic but I shall continue maintaining it and hope the other contributors will write periodically to keep this blog alive. There is something this blog do that FB cannot. Firstly it keeps a running record of all the posts that are easily searchable, which FB cannot. Secondly FB is mainly snippets and pictures on the go, not so much archival, which this blog exist mainly for. Thirdly, right at the top you can find the names and parents of the newgen kids and their age. If any members have new children born let me know so I can update the chart. Last but not least, some members are not Facebookers so rely on this blog for updates. OK. We're very much in the CNY mood although it may be more moody them joyous, judging by the weather. It was hot and dry just before CNY but then the rain came and the weather began a spotty record, hot and wet, and that made people sick, children especially. So the pedatricians did good business. My wife and I went home to spend CNY with mother, so did Song and family and KN and Ju San with Yeap Lee. Mother was happy that we can have reunion dinner with her on the Eve, February 9 (Saturday) at home, Here are a few pictures.

Mother was well and active albeit slow. She can move about, go to toilet unaided, bath and change on her own. We encourage her to be as independent as possible. She can make her beverage but not do washing, weeding or sweep the floors which are left to the caregiver auntie and contract house cleaners. Nevertheless she aged noticeably since a year ago. Here is a closeup picture of our dear mother, grandmother, ngui ma. Her 88th birthday coming up. We will celebrate on August 3 (Saturday). Make a date, let me know early.

This CNY coincide with a birthday and an anniversary. Julian celebrates his birthday on the first day of CNY. Happy birthday and many happy returns of the day. On Feb 8, sister Wai Har and I celebrated our ruby jubilee anniversary, that is our 40th wedding anniversary. We were married on Feb 8, 1973 in the Lumut civil registry. Read more in my blog HERE. For now here are some pictures of the dinner at Bei King Restaurant.
