Something I have been thinking about since the last YETI and never got around to telling all of you.
I am not sure how many of you remember the divided opinion we had at last YETI about food (especially dinner). Many were of the opinion that we keep it really simple and some of us (including me) felt that we should have at least one big dinner to celebrate. Finally we had one good dinner and one big dinner. Considering the low turnout at dinners and the quality of both dinners, in retrospect, I think we should have stuck to the simpler dinner. :) The bigger dinner was a mistake and I apologise for having pushed it. Jahnavi pointed this out at the second dinner but its taken a while to get back to you all. Just wanted to assure you all that I will keep an open mind this YETI. :)

PS Manish, please dont say ..'I told you so' :)
I wonder if that apology was necessary!!..and after one year!:)
as we all know, the simple dinners idea was to keep in the spirit of
having a non-fancy, interaction oriented conference. but, I feel your
intention to make the participants feel special with one good dinner was
also not wrong. That things didn't turn out perfect was unexpected, and
not your fault. You were in-charge, but the caterers are also to blame. We
are human and mistakes happen. Its OK.
