Hi Dheeksha,
Do send me a copy of the flyer. I would like to email it to the others involved with YETI.

2. Organize a mentorship programme
(http://www.atbc-scbafrica2011.org/grants-awards/mentorship-programs/) -
something we wanted to do at YETI but didnt.
3. Facilitate the formation of small focused discussion groups during the
conference.
4. Organize not-so-serious activities like at YETI - study area map,
graffiti board etc.

Here are my suggestions:
1. Organise a separate student symposium like they did at the canopy
conference in Bangalore (http://www.canopy2009.org/html/cscape.html)
However, we should discuss if it is a good idea to separate the students
from the rest.
These
guys are planning one anyways, unless we want to suggest
otherwise.
Not sure if this is possible - but do we want to try an
'Asking a good question' by an international ecologist?
2. Organize a mentorship programme

something we wanted to do at YETI but didnt.
- Nice,
appropriate! But the ATBC is trying this one too, I believe. Does anyone know how they are doing it? We could try it differently.
- Get a few gutsy Mentors to present cases of 'failure' (or an important non-academic lesson, but important for conservation) in their own
professional lives, and lessons learnt for research & policy. Why don't
journals appreciate sections of this kind? We could help raise
questions. Hari is the best person to talk about it. RG at CES apparently had some things to say about it, right Hari?

Not been thinking hard enough, but few points below....On 15 June 2011 13:10, Hari Sridhar <ha...@ces.iisc.ernet.in> wrote:
