Meeting on YETI 2011

Hi,

Moving ahead towards YETI 2011, this is the time we should formally initiate discussions in organising the Guwahati edition.

To kick start the process and bring together the available people interested in organising YETI 2011, we are going to hold a meeting on 12th February, Saturday at 6.30 pm in Centre for Ecological Studies (CES) at IISc. We request all of you who are currently in Bangalore and are interested to be part of YETI 2011 organisation to come for the meeting. For the people who volunteered (or want to volunteer) but are currently away - either in field or working in other parts of the country, we will put up the discussions of the meeting in the Wiki page for YETI 2011 (pasted below).

We request all of you, who are interested to volunteer for YETI 2011 but have not registered yet, to send a 'request access' to Wiki page moderators at  http://yetigau.pbworks.com. This will help us to come up with a mailing group (like last year's Google group) for Guwahati volunteers-organisers. Also, in Wiki page we all can see each others' say; we can continue discussing and sort out things even if we are in different parts of the country.

I am sending this mail to last year's mailing list and the existing list of people volunteered for YETI 2011. Please inform about this meeting to your other friends (in case I missed), who may be interested in volunteering for YETI Guwahati.

Some of you may receive multiple copies of this mail, for being there in both the lists (i.e. last year's organisers and this year's volunteers). I am very sorry for this. We will be able to take care of this inconvenience once this year's mailing list comes up.
