Inviting you to a special Knowledge Series course "Ashta Vakra Gita" or in short AVG. "Ashta" means eight, "Vakra" means deformities and "Gita" means the song of the divine. AshtraVakra was a sage who physically looked terrible due to the eight deformities in his body. And yet was one of the wisest who walk the planet. In those times, there lived a king called Janaka. Janaka was a wise king with all the wealth and success, and yet he was not happy. He was seeking for something more. He wanted to understand the deeper meaning of life. About his existence, relationships, the ups & down of thoughts, emotions, pain & joy and the very purpose of our lives.
This knowledge series is a set of DVDs in which Sri Sri speaks about this unique conversation that happened between AshtaVakra and Janaka, as AshtaVakra unravels to him the true nature of our mind.

Remember I mentioned to you Ashtavakra Gita knowledge series we will be conducting at the center? Well, we are starting this coming Sunday, Nov 4 (see details in Gautam's email below)!
Ashtavakra Gita is a Vedic scripture dated at around 1100 BCE to 800 BCE. The scripture documents a dialogue between the Perfect Master Ashtavakra and a king Janaka who is seeking enlightenment. It is a complex piece of knowledge, often studied for years by spiritual aspirants, that Sri Sri distilled for us in a beautifully simple form. Many deep questions we battle in life on attachments/dispassion, ultimate freedom, desire and surrender are discussed.
These tapes have brought transformation in the lives of many of us, including myself, so I'd like to invite you to join Gautam, Nitin and myself in this 5-week journey. We will be facilitating the first 5 tapes, which are essential for tapping into the ancient Vedic smarts. J
