Hi everyone. Here is a status report I received from Mike and Anne
Bodden on their activiites to try to get food availability to Allied
Drive people,
_______________________________________________

The bus starts tomorrow am and we are anxious to see how it works. We
had a nice meeting with the city, the Verona Bus Co, the Verona School
Superintendent, Allied Partners, the BG Club, Salvation Army (who will
use their buses to help us) and a few other interested parties. All
seem to see the need for getting the residents to full service grocery
stores until another provider can be found. There is a grocery store
chain in Milwaukee that specializes in operating in low income
neighborhoods and apparantly is valued by residents and can make a
profit.

Will let you know how the first trip goes. Meanwhile we are always
looking for financial support and volunteers in general as this
developes.

Thanks,

Mike and Anne Bodden,

Any specifics on what sort of volunteers are needed?

Thanks!

Hi Gail,

I'm afraid I got ill and I am out of action for a few weeks here. I think
it would be best if you contact Mike Bodden directly. I think I left his
email address but here it is for good reference :) bodde...@yahoo.com

I'm sorry I can't participate right now but I'll be back asap!
