I'm trying to forward this. Since I'm not sure the attachments will
go thru, so I'm summarizing them. I'll be happy to send the e-mail
directly to you if you want the attachments and can't get them from
the Google group.

Taking points
Chief Justice Abrahamson "is a tough but fair minded judge. Her
decisions are guided by the same basic values that Wisconsin families
rely on every day: Common sense. Independence. Integrity. Hard work.
Her rulings are based on the facts and merits of the case - not
politics or ideology. That's why she has the support of thousands of
police, district attorneys and sheriffs from all across the state."
She is nationally recognized as one of the nations top 100 judges.
Passionate fighter for what's right, making our courts more
transparent and holding our courts accountable.
She has started programs like:
Evidence-based sentencing - to make sure the sentence fits
the crime and has the intended effect on the convicted
Victim Impact Panels - to give the victims the voice they
deserve and to force offenders to come face to face with the real-life
impacts of their acts.
Mortgage Mediation - to get lenders to the table with
homeowners to find solutions for troubled mortgages that work for
both, without tying up the courts or going to foreclosure
Veterans programs to make sure those who have served to get
the legal support they've earned.
Abrahamson has always run clean, positive campaigns. She fights
to protect the court from big money politics and special interest
corruption. Special interests have used "slash and burn politics to
win the last 2 court elections and the Chief stands in the way of
their getting their way. Defeating a nationally recognized figure
like the Chief would be a huge victory for those trying to impose a
special interest agenda on our courts."

Join the Speaker's Bureau

Thank you so much for joining the call! I thought it was very
successful. The number of people on the call really shows the support
and interest for the Chief's campaign. We have a lot of work ahead of
us!

What now: I have attached an updated action items sheet that goes
over how you and all the potential volunteers you talk to can get
involved. Remind groups you talk to that we did a lot of great work
last November, but the work doesn't end now. We need a balanced,
independent Wisconsin Supreme Court. Encourage people to go online
and sign up to volunteer! www.abrahamson2009.com

Talking points: I also want to follow up on the question and answer
part of the call. As you attend events and talk to voters, remember
we want to stay positive. We can leave the negative stuff to the
others, we're excited to talk about Shirley. We are putting together
answers to some very important questions your brought up and will
follow up with those soon. Until then, attached is some general
talking points for you to focus on.

Contribute: And of course, don't forget to donate! You can do that at
www.abrahamson2009.com. Our next fundraising filing deadline is 2/2 so
your help comes at a crucial time.

Thank you and please feel free to call me at any time.
Reply to let me know how you want to get involved beyond the Speaker's Bureau

Best, Stephanie
