Subject: [Nat_networks] YES to Sustainability trainings - call for partners
To: <nat_ne...@gen-europe.org>

Dear National Networks,

this year and maybe last, many of you have been involved in Yes to Sustainability Youth Exchanges as a partner organisation, a series of very successful youth exchanges.

In 2018, we also had 2 trainings for youth leaders and organisers of youth exchanges that were a huge success. 9 different teams are now working on new youth exchange applications as a result of these trainings.

YES to Sustainability has been growing beautifully this year, involving many many young people (ca. 250 participants, though some of them came more than once).

Now we are planning the next steps for 2019.

For that, we are asking for your support.

Like this year, we would like to create a series of trainings that enable young people who have been participants to become youth leaders and organisers for youth exchanges, creating a snowball effect with ever more Yes to Sustainability events. Building on the experiences from this year, we want to increase the number of trainings and take it one step further with a new format. Please look at this overview for more information about these events.

These trainings can be funded through ERASMUS+ as a youth worker mobility.

We would like to ask you to become partners in these events to send participants, and we would like to work together with you in selecting the participants (unlike other projects where simply the partner organisations make this choice). We have designed the selection process in different ways before, and we are still working on finding a way that works for all involved. Details to be developed, feedback welcome.

As a side effect of the Yes to Sustainability activities, national Next-GEN groups have started forming in several countries which some of your networks are supporting already and we are very pleased to see this happening. There is also a strong connection between YES to Sustainability and the NextGEN working group of GEN Europe.

We understand that in most cases the board of your organisation will need to discuss your participation and decide. Please let us know how long you expect this to take. We much appreciate your answer asap, that makes our work a lot easier.

Sign up here as if you are interested to become a sending organisation for any of these projects. Please consider that you may not be able to take part in all projects as sending organisation, depending on the interest, and also that not all applications get accepted.

Then, we will need to sign mandates and work on partner descriptions. We will inform you about this after you signed up.

If you have any questions, please get back to us.

Hoping for a fruitful cooperation with all of you on this!

Clara, Dario, Fanny, Lara, Petra and Ulrike
