Hi all,

Mike, thank you very much for clearing this up. We are immensely appreciative of your flexibility in working with both us and Laramie thus far throughout the semester, and I apologize that things had to come to a head so close to our closing night. Definitely let me know if there is absolutely anything that we can do to ease things on your front on Saturday given how busy your day is.

Juliet, thank you for your cooperation and understanding, and please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to discuss anything further.

Very best,
Abbie

Hi guys,

This has all been a mess, and this needs to be settled rn, so this is where I stand. I’m going to begin by saying that I absolutely do not wish to disadvantage one show by my choice, but either way I’m going to. That’s just the situation  I’m in. So this is what I feel would be best to do.

On Saturday, I ask that I be released from Laramie as close to 4 pm as possible. Today’s show was a reminder that we still need to keep working on the show when we’re not presenting, and I feel it would be to everyone’s benefit if I were there. As it is right before an actual showing of Yeomen, I also feel more obligated to be working on that for the half hour. It would also help me distance my character from Laramie rehearsal better, as it has tended to be harder to do Meryll directly after Laramie.

That said, I feel where I’m at with Laramie is also good enough to miss the extra half hour. My tough spot is Act III and we aren’t scheduled to be running that Saturday. I absolutely will be working as hard as I can becore call. Laramie staff knows where my memorization stands at the moment, and I’m asking them to have some confidence in me. I understand that makes it a harder for you guys, but I can’t in good conscience miss music run because I’m late to call doing my make up.

If we need to talk about this, let’s do it respectfully and with an open mind to each other. I’m *very* uncomfortable with the way it’s gone so far. I’m not a possession to either show, I speak for myself, and this is what I have decided would be in the best interest to me and two shows I care deeply about.

All the best,
Mike
