Respected mentors,
I have been working on Effect Plots and PCA component strengthening. I have my proposal ready for submission to GSoC'19 and wish to get your reviews and help regarding the same. Please let me know where to submit the proposal.

Hi Naresh,
Thanks for reaching out.  I/we are glad to hear of your work and thanks for taking an interest in Yellowbrick.  Some things to do first:
  • follow us on Twitter @scikit-yb if you haven't yet
  • star us on our GitHub repo
  • read through our docs (including quick start guide and tutorials)
  • read through our contributor guide.  This is critical to us as it describes the format and conventions that we hold dear that enable our work.
  • My suggestion as to your work is to submit your proposals as a PR request relating to existing (NOT new!) issues relating to Effect Plots and PCA.  It's okay if it isn't complete but this will show us your thinking and your potential way forward.
For this year, we will have a limited GSOC footprint because it's our first time doing it and we wanted to start small.  So whether or not your proposal is accepted (as we go through the process which the student period closes on 4/9 as you know and then we have a few weeks after that to review what's come in), we welcome your collaboration and contributions to Yellowbrick.  As we have many existing issues, please focus on issues that exist as opposed to creating new ones, this will help move us forward.
Thanks!
Adam Morris

Thanks Naresh.  We're pretty slammed but we will get around to it when we can.
Stay well,
Adam

Hello Adam,
I opened a PR (as advised) 3 days ago. I have got no reply from the mentors. Moreover, the PR I made was closed. Please let me know what needs to be done in order to get my proposal reviewed. Sorry for being impatient but the deadline for submission is approaching and I don't want to miss this opportunity.
Regards,
Naresh Bachwani

Hello Naresh,
Thanks for reaching out.  My best advice at this point is for you to please go ahead and submit your best work to the Google application portal.  If you have any specific questions, feel free to post them here and I'll do my best but I think you're on solid footing to go ahead and submit via the Google channel (by April 9) and thereby ensure that you're proposal is received and that we will be able to review it after April 9 in accordance with Google's timeline.
All the best,
Adam
