Thanks for reaching out. I/we are glad to hear of your work and thanks for taking an interest in Yellowbrick. Some things to do first:
- follow us on Twitter @scikit-yb if you haven't yet
- star us on our GitHub repo
- read through our docs (including quick start guide and tutorials)
- read through our contributor guide. This is critical to us as it describes the format and conventions that we hold dear that enable our work.
- My suggestion as to your work is to submit your proposals as a PR request relating to existing (NOT new!) issues relating to Effect Plots and PCA. It's okay if it isn't complete but this will show us your thinking and your potential way forward.
For this year, we will have a limited GSOC footprint because it's our first time doing it and we wanted to start small. So whether or not your proposal is accepted (as we go through the process which the student period closes on 4/9 as you know and then we have a few weeks after that to review what's come in), we welcome your collaboration and contributions to Yellowbrick. As we have many existing issues, please focus on issues that exist as opposed to creating new ones, this will help move us forward.
