This news indicates that YEA is working for property dealers. If
orignal deadline for payment was maintained, i am sure 30-40% alottees
became defaulters.

O+ : You are quite right about it. There could be few thousand who
could not pay even 3.27 Lakhs and the market is asking for a 9+Lakh
premium on that plot.
Crazy situation indeed. No wonder, hundreds of plots will be
surrendered.

My request to GN based member is to file a RTI around Feb 10 to find
out the number of surrendered plots. That would be interesting to
know.

Take care,

The reason that people are asking for extension is that there is a
delay in getting the loans sanctioned. The others who are not taking a
loan want to delay the payment as much as possible so as to get
interest on the money. It is very unlikely that any plot less than
equal to 1000 sq met will be surrendered.

The same as I wonder about the the crazy premium, in the same vein I
also abhor the statements which reflect that "hundreds of plot will be
surrendered" inspite of premiums, because they do not relect the
present ground reality.

Unbridled pessimism is as bad as unbridled optimism.

yeh..surrender looks highly unlikely...firstly there is decent demand from genuine buyers...secondly, even if a single plot is surrendered, it will shake confidence of even genuine people and cause ripple effect...and even genuine buyers can pull out money

I remember there was so much bidding for that one guy who wanted to know the rules of surrender. If there are so many buyers in this forum, there would be plenty outside. So there seem to be minimal chances of surrender.

Indian team ko teen(3) bar batting milegi aur vipakshi team ko sirf ek
baar. Theek hai...
Tab hum world cup to jeet hi jayege.

Dear Ankur,
I have seen the bidding on that case however the bid would not have
gone over 700-1000, is my guess. If the market is asking for 3000, I
would ask our fellow members, how many of us would buy it at that rate
or even 2000.

RTI results will clarify facts from fiction. So lets wait and watch
and the real picture will emerge.

Take care,
Arnab M
