Dear Mr. Triven,

 

We DO NOT have a WhatsApp or Telegram group. And for good reason.

 

Such groups, apart from not being able to support thousands of members as is being done in YEIDA Google Group, are mostly waste of time, as long meaningless conversations take place, which often are pointless and eventually creates disharmony.

 

Also, LEGALLY, the administrator(s) are responsible for posts by any individual in the group.

 

That is not the case in YEIDA Google Group. This group has been working fine and delivering on it’s objective since 2009. It has been 10 years and, thankfully, we haven't witnessed any major disruption.

 

Therefore, we will stick to our way of interaction between, literally, thousands of registered members and many thousand unregistered members.

 

There is no plan or proposal to start an official WhatsApp or Telegraph group by this forum. As an individual you may start, however, you cannot advertise about the same on this group as we DO NOT ENDORSE any such instant chat platforms.

Mr. Vikas Sharma,

I advertise my name in the map because I spent thousands of rupees to make this map.

When I uploaded the very first version of the map in 2009, dozens and dozens of property dealers quickly stole it and printed their own name on it and started claiming it's their map and they made it.

I have said this in the past and I repeat it again. The map is clearly visible, when zoomed in properly.

As for you finding my name and number "cheap" on all my maps... my humble suggestion to you. Please delete all maps with my name and kindly make your own map, without your own name on it. You may also like to distribute it to others for their welfare.

You are free to do so. No one is stopping you.

HI Safal Suri ji - I understand your concern. It was just a suggestion. I agree whatsapp groups are usually polluted by forwarded messages and mobile numbers also gets exposed. I am a software developer and moderate a whatsapp group and telegram group of software individuals. Initially few programmers used to forward unrelated messages but I right away remove them from group and trust me now we have clean and helpful group.  Please note only people having good internet knowledge can deal with google groups. With whatsapp/telegram we can have larger community. I also understand that  Whatsapp/telegram can not replace the online forums but I think not too many people use google forms . More dedicated solution can be phpbb[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PhpBB] . It is free you can discuss with your IT resource . There is no harm in trying new things :) . And I do not have any plans in creating real estate groups. I am no expert in this domain. I am software / IT guy and can give suggestions in same domain.  I found your video helpful so thought I also spare few moments to share my thoughts that may be helpful :)

Who do you think will land up answering most of the questions raised, if & when a WhatsApp or Telegram group is officially formed... not only on daily or hourly basis but often, minute by minute?

Please also understand, there are already thousands of users on Google Group. What happens if all them and more, get on same instant messenger?

And... unfortunately, most new users don't even bother checking if their questions have already been answered in the past. Imagine same happening on an instant messangerand there are flood of questions (often repeated) on minute to minute basis.

Also... on Google Group we are able to moderate the messages before they are posted. A lot of messages, mostly spam or porn or political or religion related... are deleted by moderators. General members don't even get to know about them.

However, there is no such provisions of moderation in any instant messenger... before the message becomes public. How to manage them? Please remember, there are serious legal implications now and moderators are first to fall victim. I am not willing to take such responsibility. Are you?

Lastly, please imagine the time and efforts spent on managing such a platform, by moderators. Can you take out such time, every single day, sometimes for hours in one go?

Sir, on paper and in concept, many things looks glorious and path breaking, especially, technological advances, however, often they are genuinely impractical and sometimes, unimplementable.

As is the case in this instance.

Thanks for your concerns though. You ain't the first one to suggest such a thing. You surely won't be the last. Just that, it's been 10 long years and I am now tired of explaining such things repeatedly.

You guarantee there won't be such pitfalls, especially with thousands of members, and I'll happily start a instant chat app.

I was allotted a plot in sector 18 pocket 5 (D) in 2009 scheme. Though i have cleared all payments ( except 10 percent) to be paid at time of possession. I have not got possession letter so far. Not getting any proper response from authority as welk. Any idea when are possession letters for this sector and pocket being issued. shall be thankful for your response

Hi Safal ji - I understand the concern and I also got convinced with your argument.  I learnt from your long experience and put in restrictions in our whatsapp groups [only admin can send message]. Recently there have few ruling where offensive messages were shared in whatsapp group and admins were dragged in. I am not only the admin but also creator of group of 255 members so I understand the concerns.This weekend we installed phpbb forums for discussions :)

Sir, 

Managing 255 people is cakewalk when compared to managing 5000+ members.

We not naive or stupid. Not starting an INSTANT MESSENGER group is a very conscious decision, taken after a lot of thought and debate.

We don't want to start something that will not only dilute the google group but also mess up so far very successful mode of interaction between thousands of individuals.

Also, a lot of people don't understand and post their mobile number or email id on the group.

Many members who did so in past were not only harassed (litterly stocked), but some also got fooled by con artists and took financial losses.

I have always advised others not to display their personal information, including their number, email id or property details. But a lot of people just don't understand and many landup suffering later on.

Anyway, seems like you got the drift. We have certain limitations and therefore we pick and choose what could be best for our members.

We have plot in sector 18 , as per authority as lease deed was done in 2010 , after that the sector changed from 20 to 18, so for those plots authority still has to decide what to do. So there will be a delay in those sectors letters.
