GREATER NOIDA: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will allow allottees of its residential properties, who do not want to pay additional charges, to surrender their plots within 90 days. Allottees can submit their applications to YEIDA, officials said.

"They will be returned the money they have deposited for their plots with a 6% penal interest," said an official. "For those allottees who have deposited a one-time lease rent, we will deduct the annual lease rent from the date of lease deed to the date of surrender of plot and refund the rest of the amount," he said.

Besides this, YEIDA has to pay enhanced compensation of 64.7% to farmers whose land has been acquired in the area. Landowners are to share this burden of nearly Rs 6,000 crore.

In August last year, the state government had directed the Authority to pay the enhanced compensation to farmers whose land had been acquired in the area. Allottees who bought their properties after 2009 and whose land falls in the 77 villages, which have been acquired so far, have to cough up the additional amount.

According to YEIDA officials, individual plot owners, developers, institutes, commercial landowners etc who have been allotted land according to the Master Plan 2021 falling in Greater Noida to Jewar areas, are to pay this extra amount. These allottees have to shell out anything between Rs 600 and Rs 2,200 per square metre. Allottees of YEIDA group housing have to pay Rs 1,770 per square metre, while those of the 2009 residential scheme have to pay Rs 1,330 per sqm. Allottees of GPSI and Jaypee Infrastructure have to pay additional charges of Rs 2,200, while allottees of mixed land use have to pay Rs 600, officials said.

Although a very old news, but thanks for sharing the latest update from TOI. It's really funny, that authority does not give possession on time, authority did not do the land acquisition properly, authority committed an achievable time for possession,  authority penalizes you at 14% in case of default of payment, and when it comes to us we will get only 6%. And still we have to pay extra compensation of Rs 1300 per sq meter. almost around 4 lac rs for a 300 sqm plot.

If we have to get 6% only, why not rather we sell at 5000 Rs premium and get a deal through brokers instead.

i made all the payments through bank mode and not done any online payment

I am also not sure whether the amount deposited through the BanK will ge treflected or not or when it would be reflect
