Dear Knowledgable Readers,

I was planning a two day Noida-Agra-Mathura-Vrindavan-Noida trip for
this weekend, using our much awaited Yamuna expressway.

I want suggestions of fellow members about how to plan it,rough
planning that i have in my mind is as follows:

1. 11th August Saturady,Morning 8 A.M leave from Noida-Agra,
subsequently visit Taj , Fatehpur Sikri Etc

In the evening around 5 P.M leave for Mathura for a overnight stay. Now
the question is should i take the Yamuna expressway or NH2 for this
Agra-Mathura stretch?

2.12th August Sunday,Visit temples of Mathura and then head to
Vrindavan, after lunch proceed to Rye interchange for getting on the
Yamuna expressway and get back to Noida.

Is this plan OK.Suggestions apprecciated.

I believe many would have planned this.

Regards

Well it seems that no one else tried the above trip Noida-Agra-Vrindavan -Agra but as per plan i did it on 11th and 12 th August ,the weekend,I will share my experience so that others who plan similar trip may benefit from it.

1.I started from Greater Noida at around 11 o clock, by 12.45 I covered the Yamuna expressway and was at the Agra end, about Expressway i felt that it is a very good road made although i was shocked to see a old maruti 800 whose tyre was literally emiiting smoke and was towed by a Expressway vehicle. No doubt road is harsh on tyres, for daily commuters i feel the cars tyre may require frequent replacements.

Also there are many dogs roaming freely on expressway which i felt may cause accidents if at very high speed, the maximum speed that i touched was 160 kmph with my i10 car,but it was for a very less time.I felt it surprising that how could they not make even a single petrol pump on entire 165 km stretch, this was bizzare.

Anyways these factors aside the ride was smooth till the expressway ended, after this i had to take a U turn and after 4-5 Kms of smooth traffic i got down in Agra city, well the ordeal has just started it took almost 2 hours from there to the Taj parking, the Yamuna Bridge was a nightmare to cross, i will suggest that instead of getting down to Agra city continue on highway , it will be a longer route almost 7 km more but roads will be better.

Finally there was no place to park, chaos chaos everywhere, anyways managed to witness THE Tajmahal.Yes it is a wonder no doubts but for me the wonder was that being a international tourist destination how the civic infrastructure was that bad?

After Taj i had to visit Vrindavan for a night stay, i was having two choices use the yamuna expressway or to use NH2.I chose the NH2 to avoid traffic on roads leading to yamuna expressway.I was proved right there was no traffic load on NH2 i reached Vrindavan in 1.5 Hours around 9.30 In night.

Stayed near Bankey bihari ji temple in Jaipuria sadan, had a great dinner there itself.Well out of Agra and i was feeeling considerably at bliss in Vrindavan.

2. Next day did darshan in all the temples , did some shopping ,rested a little in the rrom and was all set to leave by 3'o clock. One gentleman in the jaipuria sadan explained me the route back to greater Noida.

From bankey bihari temple i went straight, took a left turn to parikrama marg, then further ahead took a right turn and i was on my way to Raya. After some more distance covered and that narrow road opened on a national highway and then on to Yamuna expressway.By 4.45 i was in my home in Greater Noida!!!!!!!

Well as in Agra the connectivity from Vrindavan to Yamuna expressway via raya can be termed as below standard.I did that in day time but i feel it is unsafe at night.

Anyways to drive on yamuna expressway was a joy and privelege but only if..................

Hope this will be helpful.
Regards
