I am looking to hire a full-time research
programmer, to work with me and my team on a variety of
projects.
The ideal candidate would be...
- familiar with machine learning
techniques, especially high-dimensional data
(eg, Microarray, SNPs, …)
- good math skills, in general
- capable programmer -- in …
- Matlab / R / SciPy
- Java, Ruby-on-Rails
- various tools for developing
phone-apps, including IBM Worklight
- sys-admin savvy: know Linux systems (RedHat,
Ubuntu), and be able to manage web servers, do system updates,
etc.
- team-player
- able to work effectively with a
range of colleagues,
including medical collaborators as well as ComputingScience
colleagues
- willing to do whatever is needed
for a successful project
- very good communicator, in both
written and spoken English
- interested in medical informatics
projects
- (Knowledge of biology and/or
medicine is useful, but is not required.)
- able to effectively time-share
many different tasks, both large and small
