The word dadagiri has clear negative connotations,and the preacher of dadagiri would be an eyesore for all. Then the filmy twist came,and from dadagiri originated Gandhigiri,thanks to Raj Kumar Hiranis Lage Raho Munnabhai that gave a new avatar to Gandhian philosophy. But what exactly is Gandhigiri? While some feel its a way of life,others think its just cool.
My mother and father have always taught me to be disciplined. I have always done my best to be disciplined and not come under the influence of my friends who indulge in dadagiri. I thought that if I carried on doing Gandhigiri I would surely have a better life. But it turned that I had to face a lot of problems in my life. Unfortunately to remove them I had to do a bit of dadagiri myself. But following this path made me suffer in my academics and also my personal life.
During Indias struggle for independence,there were two ways of fighting the British for Indians,violent and non-violent. The important personality in the non-violent way was Gandhiji. He led the Non-Cooperation Movement,Quit India Movement and the famous Dandi March. Dadagiri scares people. It can lead to temporary success but it is not a permanent solution to a problem. Over a long time,it is bound to fail. Those who live by sword,die by sword. Dadagiri cannot reform the opponent,but it fills the opponent with hatred. The ultimate success to everything is Gandhigiri. Gandhigiri has mass appeal,while people hate a dada. How long people can fear a dada? One day they will overcome their fear. Gandhigiri is better for good relations among the people. It thus works better than dadagiri.

Gandhigiri means non-violence and it follows the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi and his three wise monkeys,while dadagiri means violence with fear. It breaks many peoples hearts,emotions and their dreams. It makes some people cowards and some Hitlers.
Dadagiri is not a solution to problems and does not work everywhere. It is spreading all over the world day by day. From the time of Mahatma Gandhi till now,patience and tolerance levels of people has changed. Everyone has forgotten Gandhigiri and just remembers dadagiri.
It is not easy for everyone to forget this. And if we want to solve this problem,we can express our views and ideas and convince everybody through Gandhigiri with a combination of harmless dadagiri thatwill not affect people.

Gandhigiri vs dadagiri two entirely different words with extremely different meanings. Let us first define the two. Gandhigiri,the word itself originates from Gandhiji. It is immediately perceived that the one who practises Gandhigiri is surely on the footsteps of Gandhis ideals.
Now the question becomes more clear Gandhigiri or dadagiri? Gandhigiri is better,but dadagiri works better. In this corrupt country,one doesnt know how to get corrupt officials out,but surely knows how to handle them by means of dadagiri. The concept of Gandhigiri came back a few years ago through a movie. Its impact was huge,but as they say,the audiences memory is quite short. Everyone forgot it in the span of one year and came back to the original way of getting things done.

High levels of patience and tolerance is required in adopting Gandhigiri and the outcome provides peace of mind and satisfaction. People today have no patience to adhere to their moral principles and hence accomplish their job with dadagiri,which gives birth to rage,violence and breaking of relationships.
The proponents of dadagiri,however, say that people misunderstand Gandhigiri as ones cowardness. People today are more comfortable with dadagiri but they must not forget that dadagiri will never make a history which Gandhigiri has already. Lets adopt Gandhigiri initially and if required not to hesitate using dadagiri to safeguard the interests of weaker sections.

After the Shiv Sena chief's warning on "dadagiri" following the arrest of Lok Sabha MP Navneet Rana and her husband and MLA Ravi Rana, the BJP has asked Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray if those who recite Hanuman Chalisa do "dadagiri".
"MP Navneet Rana came alone to recite Hanuman Chalisa and not to do dadagiri (hooliganism). They imposed sedition charges against them. Nawab Malik, who is facing serious charges, is actually a traitor who is still in the Cabinet. Does Uddhav Thackeray consider the charges against him? Had he done it, Nawab Malik would not be in the cabinet anymore," Mr Ravi said.
Uddhav Thackeray on Monday issued a warning that Shiv Sainiks know how to counter "dadagiri". The Chief Minister warned MP Navneet Kaur Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana that if they resort to "dadagiri", his government knows how to counter it.
