You are scant on details, but I’d just wager a guess that you need to recompile ycmd. Check the ycm logs to confirm, but this is the first thing I would try. Updates to ycmd happen somewhat regularly and sometimes they require a rebuild.

Thank you for your help sir. The solution on this topic https://github.com/Valloric/YouCompleteMe/issues/914#issuecomment-342692210 also works on my end. I don't know why you need to execute install.py your self. Is it not automatic during the installation of the plugin? If so then what the plugin does is just download the repo in github but not really install it on my machine?
