Dear Friends,

Warm Greetings of Peace and Solidarity

I want to take this opportunity to invite you all to the “Asia-Pacific Workshop’’ on Saturday, 16th October 2021 at 4:00 PM, Indian Standard Time (IST) ” and the “International Workshop on Saturday, 16th October 2021 at 6:00 PM, Indian Standard Time (IST) entitled ‘’Building Back Better:, Youth Voices on Climate Action and Recovery’’.

The global pandemic COVID-19 and climate change have severe disproportionate impacts on the youths and overcall our countries and communities in Asia. It's a matter of fact, that they are trying to strike the balance between two severely opposing ideas of climate change adaptation and mitigation while also facing unprecedented disruptions to employment, entrepreneurship, education, physical and mental health, and financial security in the developing countries of Asia.

If only, the youth of this largest continent will be provided with relatable and equitable spaces and opportunities, included as part of the solution, provided with a common platform and forum to share their ideas, effort and passion for building back better; Asia could secure this initial potential to reap a demographic dividend towards sustainable recovery and growth. The result is regional, national and international-level policies and programmes that fail to meaningfully engage youth in issues affecting their futures through enhanced cooperation and support mechanisms. To address this, Youth Climate Lab and Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) are collaborating and partnership with Youth For Environment Education And Development Foundation (YFEED Foundation), Sustainability Week Pakistan (SWP), Sendai Stakeholders Children and Youth Group & Major Group for Children and Youth (MGCY) to  elevate the voices and ideas of youth across the Global South through evidence-based, participatory knowledge, experience sharing that development organizations and governments can exchange and utilize to inform programming and policy on building back better and sustainable.

Are you curious to learn what activities are in store in the lead up to regional and International youth engagement?  Do you want to know what opportunities are available for you to engage and contribute to UNFCCC COP26? Or would you simply like to e-meet with other youth and young professionals who are working to build a green, healthy, and resilient sustainable future?
