Invitation to attend the session "IGF Dynamic Coalitions: past, present and future"

Dear YCIG Community,

We are pleased to share with you that this Friday is taking place the session “IGF Dynamic Coalitions: past, present and future”. At this session, the DC Coordination Group will showcase to the community the recent report that documents their history, providing insight into their work and processes, and analyses their further potential. The report is intended to contribute to a better understanding of the worth of coalitions and their role within current IGF processes, as well as in shaping the future of the IGF. 

The reports include some aspects like:

• A brief historical overview of DCs and the requirements to form a Dynamic Coalition
• The diversity of DCs in terms of objectives and focus, as well as the internal working modalities and governance mechanisms
• DC outputs and achievements
• DC relations with the IGF Secretariat and the Multistakeholder Advisory Group
• How DCs contribute to IGF annual meetings and their relationship with other IGF intersessional workstreams (Best Practice Forums (BPFs) and Policy Networks (PNs)), and with national, regional, subregional and youth IGF initiatives (NRIs)
• How DCs could contribute to shaping the future of the IGF and building a more focused, relevant and outcome-oriented forum for the benefit of Internet policymakers and stakeholders around the world.
