Dear all,

The Global Assembly Community Hosts are spaces which bring people together to create and amplify social impact, collective action, sharing resources, knowledge and interests. This is a funded position and you would also receive specialist training and support from a world-spanning team. We want to work with you to own and help design the process and allow your communities to be heard. I'm attaching a ToR and flyer which has more details. I would be grateful if you could share this opportunity in your networks. Please let me know if you have any questions at all.

We are writing to you to invite you to join the Global Assembly, as an implementing partner in a key funded position.

We want to change the way international decisions are made by creating a forum for people to have a direct say in their future and the future of the planet, reimagining decision making to better serve all. We can only do this with the help of amazing community organisations like yours.

The Global Assembly is the first global citizens' assembly on climate change. We will bring together 100 people from around the world to study and discuss the climate & ecological emergency and provide guidance for the international community at COP26, the UN’s biggest Climate conference which is happening this November, and beyond.

We began our sortition (people selection) process last June, selecting 100 locations across the Globe where the participants of this first ever Global Assembly will come from. You can find the exact coordinates of all 100 points here. Please note we're looking for community organizations within 200 km of these map points

At the Global Assembly, we are shaping new ways of collective problem-solving, people power and citizen participation at the global level, by centering local organizations like you!

We are now in the process of identifying and recruiting local community organizations, like yours, who will help us recruit and host 1 person from your community to participate  in the 100 person Assembly.

Please, if you are an impact driven organization in local communities that brings  people together, join us by filling the form on the following link and stating your interest in the role by 18th August : https://globalassembly.org/community-hosts-form

Once you’ve filled out the form we will contact you to have a chat and induction into the project!

We hope you join us and we look forward to sharing this journey with You!

Considering the limitation in 200km range, it's quite disappointing to see people trying to discuss climate and ecological emergencies without including people from Amazonia.
