Dear Business/Prospective Sponsor:

First let me start by introducing our Native Stealth team, which consists of the best and most committed young Native American baseball players within the Navajo reservation.  Our team will be participating in the Arizona Diamondbacks Inter-tribal Youth Baseball tournament, July 15-19, 2007, and representing the Dine (Navajo) Nation. This is quite a unique event because it brings together Native American youth from the Junior Division (ages 9-12) and Senior Division (ages 13-16) for a tournament only open to tribal youth and it is sponsored by a Major League Baseball team, The Arizona Diamondbacks. The teams will be introduced in pre-game festivities during a home game of the Arizona Diamondbacks against the San Diego Padres. There also will be a baseball clinic at the Arizona Diamondbacks training facility.  There is not another tournament at this level for these players to experience within our area.

Our team is self-supporting and community based.  We are fundraising in order to pay for tournament fees, uniforms, equipment, and lodging/travel expenses of the team. This tournament will provide the players an opportunity to be surrounded by and experience a higher caliber of baseball that will strengthen their personal endurance.  Not only will it enhance the level of play of the players, but it will also expose these young players to college and pro baseball scouts.

We are respectfully requesting of behalf of these young people and their love of baseball and sportsmanship to assist our team in any way possible. We are in need of $3,930.00 just to cover uniforms, equipment, and assistance with lodging/travel costs. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated and give these youth the encouragement and drive to stay away from a life a delinquency and become productive citizens of the community.  It will also show them the support and importance of community service and citizenship of your business/organization.

We will proudly display your company logo on our traveling banner and let the many family members and friends of our team recognize the generosity of your company/business. There are limited businesses on the reservation or organizations that will assist these kids. Thank you for your consideration and investment in the greatest resource- our children.
