YAM WORK CAMP
Thirty-five young adults from 14 different Caribbean and North American countries will gather to serve in local projects, learn from one another, worship God in many languages, and build community in Trinidad, July 27 - August 13, 2012.  CANACOM, the Caribbean and North America Council for Mission, is sponsoring this Young Adults in Mission (YAM) Work Camp with and through its member churches.  The theme is "Strike Up Di Riddim, Mission is wi Beat" and the PC(USA) is invited to send 2 participants.  If you are between the ages of 18-30 and active in a PC(USA) congregation, we invite you  to consider applying!

This is an opportunity to....

  • engage in cross-cultural, ecumenical ministry with other young adults
  • explore the church in the Caribbean region and Caribbean/North American joint mission
  • share your God-given gifts
  • learn from our global brothers and sisters in the faith

Application Deadline: Applications and reference letters must be received by May 13th to Rev. Karen Herbst-Kim.

Cost:  Participants are asked to fund raise at least $500. The remaining cost of this event is subsidized by the participating member churches of CANACOM.
