Hello Everyone…

SERVE THE CITY IS JUST DAYS AWAY!

You are receiving this email if you have registered or have shown interest in Serve Greater Baltimore’s “Serve the City” Day this Saturday, March 27th. The response has been overwhelming. We have over 200 volunteers already registered. If you haven’t yet registered, check out the website (www.servegreaterbaltimore.org) under “volunteer opportunities” and select a project that seems interesting to you. Thanks for your desire to serve the City of Baltimore.

Attached to this email are all the details for each of the work projects. Download the one that pertains to you or one you are interested in. It includes all the "NEED-TO-KNOW-INFO" for all the projects. You will receive a packet with this information at registration along with directions to the project.

Let me go over a few details again. Our day will begin at The Samaritan Women’s Event Center at 8:00 am. The Event Center is located on 602 S. Chapel Gate Lane, Baltimore, MD 21229. Mapquest and GPS tend to be inaccurate for this location, so check out this website for directions:

www.thesamaritanwomen.org/directions.html

We encourage everyone to carpool as much as possible. There is limited parking at the Event Center.

Once you arrive at the Event Center you will hear a brief overview of the day and our vision for what we hope Serve Greater Baltimore to become. Make sure to visit the registration table to confirm your work project for the day. Also, we have a limited number of the “Serve the City” T-shirts printed for the event. They are first come, first serve. We do ask everyone to wear their shirt as they serve that day. We are also arranging to provide everyone who volunteers with a boxed lunch. This frees the work project up from having to arrange lunch for the volunteers. As you can tell, there is a cost incurred in all this. We are asking every participant to donate $10 (or more!) to cover the cost of the day. Please make checks payable to CPC – Serve Greater Baltimore.  At 9:00 am, we’ll send you on your way to serve Baltimore.

At 4:30 pm, we are encouraging everyone to return to the Samaritan Women Event Center for a Celebration Dinner and Debrief. We want to provide an opportunity to shares stories and celebrate with one another. The celebration is catered by Outback in Canton.

Thanks again for your participation. Pray for good weather. It should be a great day!

Sincerely...

Patrick
