Include images in documentation

Hi, I have searched the web, read many suggestions and tried those listed here.  I'm new to Ruby, so perhaps it's just me, but I just can't get anything to appear properly in the generated webpage.

I have tried and tried so many variations, paths, etc.

When I check out the generated html it has successfully replaced my link with an img tag followed by http:

Basically, the image does display properly when I remove the http: prefix from the string.  

I was going to paste some details from the html file, but now I've broken it and get

Internal Server Error

undefined method `new' for nil:NilClass

WEBrick/1.3.1 (Ruby/1.9.3/2014-02-24) at localhost:8808

Any suggestions or pointers would greatly be appreciated.
