The Yankees have released 24-year-old right-hander Elvin Perez, per a report from Baseball America.
Perez could not advance in five years with the organization despite some respectable numbers. He finished last season with a 2.66 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. He was used both as a starter and reliever during his time in the New York chain.
