Hello friends and family!

“In the beginning was  the Word, and the Word was  with God, and  the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God...And  the Word  became flesh, and   dwelt among us, and  we beheld His glory, glory as of the  only begotten from the Father, full of  grace and  truth” (Jn 1:1-2, 14).

“The angel said to them, ‘…Behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people. For today in the city of David there has been born to you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord’” (Lk 2:10-11).

Merry Christmas from the Yang family! We love that this time of the year, we’re reminded frequently of the gift God gave to us in His Son, Jesus Christ—the way, truth, and life. Christ has come, and He will come again. We look back to His birth, and we look forward to His return!

In terms of some life updates:

Amos continues to serve as one of the pastors at New Life Community Church as well as work as an independent private practice anesthesiologist. This past year included a pastoral sabbatical, which he and the family appreciated.

Emily continues to homeschool the children, especially the older three. Amos still says that Emily is his hero and that he has no idea how she manages so much each and every day.

Genevieve continues to grow in skill in swimming, Chinese, and piano. This past year she added soccer to the list of activities. She is a peacemaker among her siblings.

Camille follows her elder sister to all the same activities and can often be found hiding in a corner somewhere reading books. She is naturally empathetic towards others…except perhaps at times towards her brother.

Asher continues to love math and won his soccer team’s most improved award this past season. He often appears out of nowhere and body slams us with a hug and cuddle.

Isabelle recently completed learning her first 500 Chinese characters and loves tagging along with her siblings to anything and everything. She enjoys being doted on by her two elder sisters, and her antics often bring a smile to our face.

All the kids recently acquired harmonicas, and now our house sounds like a racket!
