Welcome to Yamaha TX816, former known as Yahoo TX816 User Group

January 9th 2003 the Yahoo Group TX816 User Group was started, Yahoo discontinued their Groups partly October 28th 2019 and closed December 14th 2019. As a result the group migrated and made a slightly refresh October 26th 2019 and changed name to Yamaha TX816 (it is not affiliated or a part of Yamaha Corporation). At the start up process not everything will be in place and I'm new to the Google Group platform and may mess it up some times.. Anyhow:

By way of introduction, both of myself as a composer and of the Yamaha TX-816, you can stream for free all of the tracks on my album "Unsee Worlds" for which I used the TX816 as my only sound source, here (and scroll down to stream all of the tracks):

This album will demonstrate some of the a range of electronic orchestration that I've gotten our of the Yamaha TX-816. 

Each of the tracks was recorded as a single pass played by a single TX-816 unit without multi tracking or overdubbing, Though of course this is a compressed sound streaming format so not optimal for showing audio quality, it shows that a single TX rack by itself is a very full orchestra.

I hope others will introduce what they have done with this powerful by-now-vintage synthesizer as well,
