I had an emergency business trip in the last two weeks and just got back to the United States yesterday.

 

I had a talk with Chris(faust Harrison Piano, www.FaustHarrisonPianos.com) today,

 

He said there is another group in NJ to do the group purchase with him, he wants us to join with that group together to have a better price.

 

Right now, that group has 16-17 people.

 

Here’s his offer

 

Price: $5998, no tax

 

Color: black polish

 

Free 2 tuning, free bench.

 

$500 deposit(non-refundable), pay the rest with cash or check.

 

One day delivery --you have to have people at home

 

Free delivery with 3 stairs. If have more than 3 stairs, $10/stair.

 

10 years Yamaha manufacture warranty.

 

in the next 5 years, If you want to buy a higher end piano with $5000 price higher, you can full price trade in current one.

 

 

If we have more people join in the group purchase, we can go to another tier with price around $100 less.

 

Finally, that’s his final offer and he agreed that he danced with me in the past and did not give me the real quote.

 

Anyway, he hopes we can make the decision before Monday.

 

I do not what’s your opinions about this price, if we bargain harder, I guess we can get $100 less.

As far as I know, this price is almost the best. NJ local store asked for $6000 + tax.

our family have also contacted the dealer, seems they are trying to get a final head count, those who are interested should probably move forward and let them know, they will add your name to the group purchase list. what I got for PAer is the same as David said for the deal, just PAer may have to pay some extra delivery fee. I assumed the delivery fee maybe waived if we have more PA buyers. Anyway, I am in and hope more PAer can join too.

One thing I forgot to mention, if total people is more than 20(this group plus another group), you may get $100+ less --- this depends on how many people there. You have to ask Chris to confirm the final price if we can move to next tier.

would arrive in 2-3 weeks.

I talked to Chris yesterday. He promised will give further discount for 20+ group. But he said around $100. Since we have member confirm the size, we should make sure we will have that amount. Is David still in charge? If David is not in for the deal, we should have a new leader. I personally think my negotiating skill is weak -- not that I am not willing to :)

I just called Chris, he said now there is only 15 people who gave deposit from our group, and there won't be $100 discount further.  Could we confirm we really have 20+ buyer so we could get better price. If you are interested in buying now, please make sure you called and make deposit.
