"Everyone", including other LLMs, say that Claude is the best AI tool for programming, including for MATLAB.

Claude told me it is very good at MATLAB and YALMIP programming, nut not as good as Johan.

I engaged Claude sonnet 4.5 (Anthropic/Claude's most advanced model) in a discussion on nonlinear SDPs, for which I told Claude to use its deepest thinking.. On Claude's own initiative, it showed me a snippet of YALMIP code for solving a nonlinear SDP.

bmibnb(objective,constraints,bounds)

I guess Claude forgot to read YALMIP getting started

Claude is incorrect on the syntax for solving an optimization problem with BMIBNB, although it did profusely apologize when I pointed out the numerous errors in this BMIBNB call.

Claude is correct that it is not as good as Johan at YALMIP programming.

I will not be renewing my monthly Claude subscription.
