Problems to install

Hi guys, Im new here... and Im having some troubles to install the
yakindu...
Im using eclipse 3.7.0 and following the User Guider 1.2.0
So,
When Im trying to installing a lot of missing requirements r showes to
me...

Are there any different way... because I think that Im having this
problems cause the versions... is there a new tutorial?

For instance, in the tutorial says that i should install the FEATURE
first, so i had this error:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could
not be found.
Software being installed: Yakindu Feature 1.0.0.M05
(com.yakindu.feature.feature.group 1.0.0.M05)
Missing requirement: com.yakindu.simulation.feature 1.0.0.M05
(com.yakindu.simulation.feature.feature.group 1.0.0.M05) requires

and when I try to install selecting differents options... i had a lot
of missing requirement erros too!

Hi Hudson,

When using Eclipse 3.7.0 (indigo) it is much easier to install via Eclipse.
Start your IDE, go to :

1) HELP
2) Install new software
3) Press button ADD
4) in the box named LOCATION you can put the Yakindu update site :
http://updates.yakindu.com/indigo/milestones
5) Now press OK
6) After a while you will see Yakindu and additional stuff, selectable
for installation.

If this still doesn't work 100%, I've had succes by :

1) Completely deleteing my Eclipse IDE
2) Downloading a fresh new Eclipse Indigo (3.7.0), and to be more
specific, the version named "Eclipse Modeling Tools"
3) After installation, open the newly installed IDE and follow the
procedure above to add Yakindu via the update-system

Hudson,

ensure you have checked 'Contact all update sites during install to find required software' in the same dialog where you select the features to install.
This will download the required plugins like Xtext for you.

I just tested it with a fresh downloaded Eclipse Classic 3.7.2 Windows 64 bit and it works for me. Did you try downloading a new Eclipse Distro?

Can you check if the Indigo update site 'http://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo' is registered and activated under "Availabe Software Sites"?
If so, try to install the following Komponents from Indigo - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo before installing SCT2.

+  Modeling
  + EMF - Eclipse Modeling Framework SDK
  + Graphical Editing Framwork GEF SDK
  + Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF) Notation SDK
  + Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF) Runtime SDK
  + Xtext SDK

I had to search on the internet the eclipse version 3.7.2 and download... so a installed and now its work!

Now i have a new doubt... on the tutorial says to the user use open perspective and there select yakindu... so i didnt find this there, but when i click in file > new > other, shows to me a paste with 4 options about yakindu:

Hello Hudson,
it looks like you tried to create a new... (Because Projects and model
files are listed.

To open a perspective got to "window" -> "open perspective" or click
on the "open perspective" icon in the upper right corner of your
eclipse by default. There you should be able to select the Yakindu
perspective.

Hi Hudson,

I don't know if all your problems were solved yet. When I looked at my
email this morning I fount a large number of emails and understood
Yakindu worked in the end.
Now your last question was bout 'starting' a project with a statechart.
But the right way to do this (as far as I know) is as follows :

1) In Eclipse create a new empty JAVA project, don't choose to switch to
the Java perspective
2) Now create a statechart with the NEW option, selecting the Yakindu
statechart. This inserts the statechart with a name and position in the
project you can specify
3) When you have designed your statechart, and you want to generate
code, select NEW and insert a Yakindu Statechart Generator Model. Here
you can select the name you want to give tot the generator model, for
which statechart you want to generate code, AND the targetted language
(e.g. Java, C or C++).
4) If all goes well the code is generated. I you make changes in the
statechart it is possible to re-generate the code by right-clicking on
the code generator model in the project-explorer and selecting the
option "generate statechart artifacts"
