Hi all,

Has anyone had success with seeing this yet? If so, any favorite locations near Yakima?

Thanks,

Dean

I tried to photograph it on Thursday morning from Terrace Heights, but no luck. Attached is a chart showing the comet's altitude in the AM with the Sun six degrees below the horizon. Unfortunately, we are pretty far north of the optimum viewing position; there's a significant difference in altitude for us vs. those in the southern Continental US.

I'm crossing my fingers that it stays intact for a few more weeks until it emerges in the evening sky!

I was able to spot it this morning with my 15x70 binoculars, but there's not much to see. It's barely over the horizon and fully in the brightening dawn light. Could only see the coma and not much tail.

With any luck we'll get a better shot in couple of weeks.

Sam
