This friendly comet looked quite lovely tonight. Got these great views looking west from a hill near Gleed. Tomorrow could be even better!

Definitely recommend looking at this comet now that it's not buried in morning twilight. Views should continue to be pretty good the rest of this week after which the comet will start to dim noticeably.

Nice! And yeah, I think this comet has the longest tail I've seen ever. It just keeps going!

Went for a drive out to Tieton and got a couple of pictures, I was surprised by how long it's tail is right now. Pics I saw before seeing it with my own eyes didn't do it justice!

Beautiful images Sam!

I got a glimpse in binoculars, but your images are much better.

Hoping to see again tonight.

Yeah, we started seeing it a little after 7. Took pictures until it set around 8. So there's about a 45 minute window.

But each night it's going to appear higher in the sky, so there should be a bit more time before it sets.

Thanks Bob! It also gave good views with binoculars, but the tail is so long you can't really see it all at once. I got pretty good pics even with my cell phone.

Really great shots. We tried last night as well. From where were at early clouds, then trees. We'll try again tonight somewhere else.

Here are a few shots from Sunday night:

My students and I were able to see the comet naked-eye from the YVC campus last night (Monday). I was surprised, given the degree of light pollution there. It seems to be maintaining brightness quite well as it pulls away from us!

Awesome! Here's another pic from last night. Nice and bright and a bit higher in the sky. This should keep looking great all week if the clouds stay away.
