Tow Bar

For those of us who have both a Yak-52TW and CJ-6 or straight Yak-52, any suggestions on a dual purpose Tow Bar you can push or drag the airplane around the airport with?  My Bogert Bogi-Bar Tail Dragger Configuration is starting to poop out after 5 years and doesn't work with the CJ.

By the way, THANKS for the great suggestions with my search for an Oil Temperature Gauge solution.

I wouldn't consider anything but a PowerTow 40Ez. Unfortunately the adapter size is different on the TW as it is on the Cj or Yak .  Size it for the TW as it is the most important.  Ask me someday how I almost lost it when the tug turned it loose.  What actually works best is the tug with the platform lift that swivels$$$$  You can trap and secure and I do mean you need to secure with a strap the tail wheel so when you back up you just don't slide the tow from under the plane and let it roll away!  If you use the 40ez there is some modifications you would need for width conversion on the grab bars.  Not needed on the platform model.  I have both types and I use the platform style on the  TW and the 40 EZ on the 52 and Cj.  There will be someone who most likely has a better idea.

If you have the budget... I swear by the TowBot that Tim Williams and I use..  it tows EVERYTHING.. including his new T-28.. :)

The TowBot was developed at Tulsa Riverside.  I friend of my keeps talking about developing a spin off from the original design.  If he ever gets off of top dead center, I'm in line for one of his.

I believe that is the same.. I am sure someone can invent a better mouse trap, but have been extremely pleased with it.
