Hi Jonas,

The default value for notifications in YajHFC presents a problem on domain networks... Every time a roaming user logs into a computer, a new profile is cerated and YajHFC starts sending emails from username@localhost when a new fax comes in. The mail system gets flooded with mail system delivery failure notifications that retry for over a week, filling the site managers inbox with hundreds of emails they think are fax failures.

This does not seem like a wise default, especially if a site already has delivery notifications set up server side and is unreasonable to assume that someone is going to configure the client every single time a new Windows profile is created.

Do you have any advice? Can YajHFC be deployed as a Machine instead of User?

Cheers,

Nathan

Hello,

configure a YajHFC instance like you want your default to look like. Than copy "%USERPROFILE%\.yajhfc\settings" to "%ProgramFiles%\YajHFC\settings.default"

When a user starts YajHFC for the first time, the settings.default is used to set up all the defaults.
If you have the setting "servers.1-notifyWhen=NEVER" in there then no emails will be sent.
