It has been contended by yahoo's that it's a seperate product, or not. Briefcase though was both. Over two years prior to losing his access tothe brief part of the site he says his email was taken away. ANother victim in our group had his email locked down away from his access after receiving his cd of files in the removed case section and was even worse off then had he not gotten that disk but kept his email.
Apparently briefcase didn't have a sign in requirement to remain active. Therefore notice to freestanding members without any address to get notices at is an issue for yahoo. I wonder whether anyone else has heard of this? Obviously he probably setup other emails, but was not sufficiently directed to provide these adddresses whenver he accessed the case files. Because his situation was rare, they could of easally afforded to keep his files till now.
"Dear Sir,
I would be glad if it is possible to retrieve my Yahoo Briefcase files
as
soon as possible
that I worked hard to compile from 2003 to 2006.
I know that Yahoo Briefcase closed on March 30, 2009, they sent out
many
warnings
about that, but my Yahoo account closed on January 12, 2007 itself,
abruptly, as a shock, I
am not able to access its files since then itself.
Looking forward for my old memories...
Link page to that website and then file list view are being attached
up.
