This is Avanish from NLB Services. One of our clients is looking for an SAP HCM Payroll IT Consultant in Spring/Houston, TX (Onsite).

 

Position: SAP HCM Payroll IT Consultant

Location: Spring/Houston, TX  – 77389 (Onsite)

Type: Contract

 

Job Description:


Please find the below KOC inputs for the role:-

  • ExxonMobil is implementing their SAP HCM Payroll system through a vendor named Strada. Initially, they are implementing the system for US & Canada, with plans to extend it further for South America region (Argentina, Brazil), followed by Europe & APAC regions.
  • They are seeking an expert level Techno-Functional SAP HCM Payroll IT consultant with vast experience/expertise in the Configuration of Payroll Rules & Payroll Schemas for US & Canada (having experience in Argentina & Brazil Payroll systems will be nice to have).
  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in SAP HCM  Payroll with hands-on (Configuration) experiences include Payroll Schema.
  • She/He will be working along with the Vendor (Strada) team to implement the system and guide them on the Payroll Rules & Payroll Schemas for the system implementation from the scratch to finish.
  • Experience with different Taxes and Payroll Report configuration for US & Canada.
  • ABAP Programming, Testing and Debugging experience is required.
  • They are looking for a SME, who is not just running & maintaining the Payroll System, but have a thorough understanding of the complete SAP HCM Payroll system implementation.
  • This is a 12 months contract to start with, and can be extended further (depending if the candidate has the understanding of other countries/regions specified above).
  • This is expected to be a 100% onsite role, but they are bit flexible for the exceptional candidate.

Interview Process:- Complete hiring process (Profile Shortlisting + Panel-Interviews via Zoom – can be 1 or 02) will take about 4 weeks, hence the start date will fall in 1st week of May-2025. Please convey the same to the candidates. Scenario based Q&A sessions will be expected during the Interview.
 

Description:-

  • Providing Functional consulting support to client on SAP HCM Payroll/ Time module with hands on experience.
  • Working with Project team and vendor to support the Payroll project implementation.
  • Evaluate and clarify the existing Payroll/Time configuration in collaboration with the vendor to facilitate the implementation of a new design.
  • Demonstrated Communication skills in Customer/Stakeholder/Vendor facing environment. 

 

Job Requirements/Responsibilities:-

  • Working with business and technical team to investigate the current configuration (rules, schemas, SAP functions, ABAP programs) in SAP HCM for the U.S. and Canada payroll countries and explain to vendor for new system implementation.
  • Investigate issues, providing technical explanation in case the testing result is different between new system and existing system during Testing Phase
  • Provide Technical & Functional consultation and configuration for SAP in global organization as per requirement for example;
  • Configuration of Payroll Rules and Schemas
  • New Wage type configuration and calculation
  • Legal report configuration
  • Tax/SI configuration based on country specific
  • Standard Payroll report configuration
  • Account Posting configuration
  • Validate changes, maintain the change management process with Business approval
  • Provide resolution of incidents/problems for the client.
  • Monitoring and fix defect to support business  

 

Primary skill set:-

  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in SAP HCM  Payroll with hands-on (Configuration) experiences include Payroll Schema.
  • Experience in US, Canada, Brazil, Argentina Payroll implementation would be more beneficial 

 

Nice to Have skill sets:

  • SAP Time Management Skill included Time Schema
  • ABAP debugging
  • Vendor Management
  • Project Management 

 

Soft skill sets:-

  • Proficient in English (written & oral)
  • Strong problem solving, Analytical and communication skills.
  • Great team work/Collaboration
