Cluster & Parallel Storage Technology Group, Server Technologies
Cluster & Parallel Storage Technology group in the Server Technologies division is responsible for research, design and development of cluster database and storage products including Scalability, High Availability (HA), Manageability and Diagnosibility infrastructure and tools for the same. Real Applications Cluster (RAC), our cluster database server product is the fastest growing server product in Oracle. RAC enables performance, high availability and scalability for the enterprise market. Many of Oracle’s large customer data warehouses and mission-critical on-line transaction processing (OLTP) systems run on RAC.

Cluster High-Availability, Manageability, and Diagnosibility Team:
Our team is responsible for research, design and development of state of the art High Availability, Manageability, and Diagnosibility infrastructures and tools, that help the clusterware, cluster database server, and other Oracle products become easy to deploy, verify, diagnose, and manage on clusters and provide continuous availability and ease-of-use features for these products.

We work on challenging problems in the areas of Cluster Repository, Hierarchical Cluster Infrastructure, Distributed Cluster Management Infrastructure, Grid Plug-n-Play, Cluster Topology Services, Discovery and Verification, Cluster Repository, Cluster High Availability, Cluster-wide Deployment, Configuration, Rolling Upgrade, Workload Management, and many more challenging areas of multi-node parallel and cluster computing. Our teams have been awarded several US patents for its work. We work with several teams in other divisions within Oracle and many Clustering Groups and Standards Bodies in Industry.

Cluster systems software and tools Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Systems Software Programming to develop state-of-the art infrastructure and tools for cluster management, high availability and diagnosibility on a variety of operating system platforms. As a member of the software engineering team, depending upon the project, you will be inventing, designing, developing, porting and maintaining complex multi-node systems software.

Working from Oracle - IDC, you will be a part of the development team in USA.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·         BS/ MS Computer Science 

·         2+ Years of research, design, and systems software product engineering experience

·         Systems programming experience on all kinds of Unix/ Linux/ Windows platforms

·         Distributed systems, Clustering, Thread Programming experience

·         OS/Networking/Storage Systems Programming experience

·         C/C++, Java, JNI programming skills

·         Shell, Perl, Batch file, scripting, system calls programming skills

·         Good debugging and troubleshooting skills

·         Proven track record to define, build and ship products in a timely manner

·         Good communication and teamwork skills

·         Knowledge of Oracle products - RDBMS, Real Application Clusters is a plus

·         Effective problem solver

·         Quick study

·         Analytical, Creative, Independent, Flexible, Proactive
